His end zone-to-end zone punt is still part of Senior’s sports lore. Track is the sport, however, that showcased Mr. Richman’s brilliant talent and world-class speed. Ralph was a Drake Relays 100 yd. Dash champion and eventually set school records of 9.8 seconds in the 100 yd. Dash and 22.9 seconds in the 220. He also tied the state record of 5.4 seconds in the 50 yard dash. |
Gail Skinner HodgeGail Skinner Hodge led the Rams to the State Volleyball title in 1973 in only the second season that volleyball was a varsity sport at the school. A 1974 graduate of Dubuque Senior, Gail was team Captain, a member of the 1973 State All-Tournament volleyball team, and an All-State selection. Mrs. Skinner Hodge accepted an athletic scholarship to the University of Iowa where she was a four-year starter, three time Team Captain, and the first recipient of the “Most All-Round Team Player Award”. After graduation in 1979, Gail earned her Masters Degree from Clarke College. She has coached volleyball at the high school and college levels and continues to coach in Dubuque in the Court Masters Club Program. |

After the war, he served as national president of the prestigious Flying Tigers Organization, and he was one of the founding members of the President Truman Library in Independence, MO. For over forty years, Mr. Sloan was the leader of the Life and Medical Insurance Company of Kansas City, MO. Mr. Sloan passed away in 1996. |
